Teaching Experience
Teaching Experience
I have broad teaching experience at Georgia Tech, where I have taught and supported a range of undergraduate and graduate economics courses. In 2023, I served as Instructor of Record for ECON 2250: Statistics for Economists, where I designed the course from the ground up and led all lectures, assessments, and coding sessions. Student evaluations reflected strong teaching performance, with an overall effectiveness rating of 4.2 out of 5. I received particularly high marks for communication (4.17), availability (4.25), and inclusivity (4.87), highlighting my commitment to accessible and supportive instruction. I also co-taught ECON 2102: The Global Economy that year, contributing to curriculum design and classroom instruction.
During my graduate studies, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant across numerous courses, including Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Microeconomic Theory I, Advanced Microeconomic Analysis, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics I & II, Global Enterprise, and Economics of Corporate Strategy. These roles have involved leading practice sessions, holding office hours, grading, and providing individual academic support to students.
In recognition of my teaching, I was selected as the School of Economics Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year in 2024. I also completed the Tech to Teaching certificate program in 2023, a structured professional development sequence focused on evidence-based teaching practices and course design. More information here. In 2024 I became a Graduate Teaching Fellow in Georgia Tech’s Center for Teaching and Learning where I help facilitate events and lead seminars to contribute to the development of future faculty. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to high-quality, student-centered instruction and prepared me to take on independent teaching roles in the future.
Student Feedback
"I think that Victoria made herself incredibly accessible as both an instructor and a mentor. Victoria's greatest strength was in making otherwise intangible concepts [accessible] and rooting them in their practical and profound implications in our field of interest."
"I think Victoria's greatest strength is how accessible her help was at all times, whether that is during office hour or schedule to meet up."
"The course overall was very relaxed, and the instructor had a very positive attitude towards the content and teaching."
